Home Network and Security Security Test
For quite a while now several institutions require their business partners to comply with certain data security standards. For example, merchants accepting credit cards have no option but to comply with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). In the years coming, we are to see many companies moving towards ISO certifications dealing with data security (e.g. 17799, 27001), as this is required by more and more partners and governmental regulations.
By performing security tests on your network, MicroLink can assist in assessment of the data security level of the network before, during and after the changes.
Network Security Test discussed here is testing without having exclusive access to the systems under examination. Testing is performed by special security analysis software and simulated experimental attacks. As the tester takes the exact role of a potential attacker, this test is very different from a security audit, where the tester takes more likely the role of a network administrator.
The results of Network Security Test in conjunction with the documentation of the network and the results of a network audit (see Network Security and Availability Audit) give a complete set of data of your company’s position in protecting its most valuable possession – data
