Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)Symantec Endpoint Protection is new generation software for protecting workstations against various threats. SEP combines the following components:
- antivirus software;
- protection against spyware;
- firewall;
- IPS (intrusion prevention);
- application/ device control.
A single agent is installed on the workstation which can be managed and updated via a central console. With the console it is possible to assign various rules to computer groups and locations, and apply IT security policies even when the workstation is not located on the intranet.
The software can be integrated with MS Active Directory and/or LDAP control. The multi-tier version includes also Symantec AntiVirus for Linux and Macintosh, Symantec Mail Security for SMTP / Exchange /Domino versions.

Symantec Information Foundation product family protects businesses against risks related to information exchange. It includes protection and control of e-mail and instant messaging programs. The software gives an overview of information flow and enables its central archiving.

- Symantec IM Manager;
- Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange;

Symantec Brightmail AntiSpam protects computer systems against threats related to junk mail and other e-mail.
Its key features are worldwide security and support centers; patented spam detection network; real-time filter delivery.
Automated spam trend updates every 5 to 10 minutes.
The product is available for the following environments: Windows, Solaris, Linux. Can be integrated with LDAP.
Symantec Brightmail AntiSpam
Symantec Mail Security 8300 Series includes software and devices for antivirus protection and spam filtering The solutions are based on the BrightMail technology.
It detects and removes e-mail threats as well as operates as a multilayer spam filter.
Easy-to use content filtering enables controlling outbound e-mail. Statistical reports on both inbound and outbound e-mail.
Mail Security 8300 Series products can be configured as a gateway for instant messaging programs, (e.g. MSN Messenger) to protect the organization against threats related to IM. Can be integrated with LDAP.
Mailsecurity 8300 Series products available as physical devices and as virtual machines.

Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange provides protection against viruses and security threats for MS Exchange 2000/2003/2007 e-mail environments.
Symantec Premium AntiSpam License provides spam filtering. Automatic antivirus definition updates every 30 minutes.
User- and group-based security policies can be applied on the basis of the integrated e-mail filter. Real-time mailbox scans improve throughput.
Configurations can be applied to all Exchange servers at the same time through central management.
Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange
Symantec Mail Security for SMTP provides high-performance protection and quick protection against viruses and removes threats against e-mail, reducing load on the e-mail server. As a firewall it protects the system against attacks. Can be integrated with LDAP. Content-based filtering. The product is available for the following environments: Windows, SUN Solaris and Linux.
